Casellula

After trying to find time for months, a friend and I finally went to Casellula last night for some much needed wine and cheese! It was such a cosy and cute place, perfect to catch up and unwind on another dreary and rainy night in the city.  I tried a glass (or 3) of the Spanish Pardevalles "Gamonal," which was a very smooth red that I really enjoyed.  Definitely one I will remember next time I'm buying some bottles.

We were seated directly next to the cheese display, so of course we had to get a flight of cheese.  There were oevr 40 cheeses listed, so we decided to allow our server to select and pair our cheeses for us.  I rarely meet a cheese I don't like, so it was a pretty safe bet! As always the goat was my favorite, but they were all delicious.

Up at 52nd and 9th, it was definitely an area that I don't usually venture to, but it's always fun to visit new neighborhoods.  If I lived closer, this would definitely become a frequented wine bar!
